Our client is looking for an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join their high-impact team, dedicated to developing and deploying cutting-edge AI applications across complex industries such as energy, logistics, and finance.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled AI Engineer to contribute to both hands-on development and strategic innovation.

You’ll play a key role in research-driven implementation, solution design, and full lifecycle AI model deployment.

Reporting into senior technical leadership, you'll help shape the future of the organisation’s AI capability.
Key Responsibilities

• AI Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and generative AI models, with a focus on semi-supervised learning and open-set recognition.
  
  
• Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with business units to ensure AI solutions align with strategic objectives.
  
  
• Research & Prototyping: Lead and contribute to real-time AI application research and prototyping in complex domains.
  
  
• Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee AI development from data ingestion through to deployment, monitoring, and performance optimisation.
  
  
• Architecture & Strategy: Contribute to high-level platform architecture and AI strategy.
  
  
• Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, share insights, and contribute to internal technical education.
  
  
• Ethical AI Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to responsible AI standards and legal frameworks.
  

• PhD, Master’s, or Honours degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions
• Proficiency in Python, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, machine learning, and data science
• Experience in deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  

• Experience in smart grid systems, automation, or data-intensive domains
• Background in AI research or academic publishing
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or community initiatives
• Familiarity with AI governance and compliance
