VACANCY: CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST IN QUEENSTOWN, EASTERN CAPE
BRIEF
Buchule Engineers (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Design Technologist/Engineer with extensive experience in bulk water, wastewater and sewer projects.
The Designer will be based in the Queenstown office in the Eastern Cape.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently execute all design stages from designs to technical reports
- Have an understanding of what is expected from the team to ensure delivery of projects; while sourcing the required information, clarity, tools, or support as needed to enable the team to succeed.
- Take ownership and lead on technical matters on projects to which you are assigned.
- Prepare technical engineering reports, designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Detail Design of Civil Engineering services
- Preliminary site investigations, collection of data and feasibility studies
- Calculation of Scheme demands for water and sewer networks
- Design of Water and Sewer Reticulation and bulk networks
- Design of Sewer and Water Pumpstations
- Design of Water Purification systems and Wastewater Treatment Plants
- Design of stormwater, roads, structures and general civil engineering services will be an added advantage
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- NQF 7 Qualification in Civil Engineering
- Thorough proficiency in design software; Civil designer, Autocad, Civil 3D, etc
- 5 years of experience working in the design office as a Design Engineer/Technologist.
- Thorough understanding of Design Standards and contracts such as SANS, COTO, GCC, JBCC, etc.
