Introduction

Our client is an established player in the renewable energy field. They require the services of experienced Construction Supervisors for a1-year contract for the electrical installation of the Impofu Wind Farms in the Eastern Cape.

The job entails the construction and commissioning of HV sub-stations and overhead lines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Day-to-day operational management of a construction team (+- 15 staff and contractors)

Assist with the scrutinizing and approval of civil construction quantities and claims by service providers

Assisting with design reviews

Management of contractor teams

Assist with planning and reporting

Desired Experience & Qualification

Professional registration as a 'Construction Manager' with the SACPCMP is advantageous

An N2/N3 in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.

At least 5 years’ previous experience as a Construction Supervisor/Foreman of an electrical construction and development project is crucial.

A good understanding of Health and Safety management is required.

A good knowledge of construction regulations and ISO quality systems is needed.

Skill in using MS Office
