</li> <li>Strong understanding of version control, modular design, and environment consistency.</li> <li>CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment): Expertise designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

Deep knowledge of branching strategies, artifact management, and rollback procedures.</li> <li>Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in Python and Bash with ability to automate platform-related tasks including data collection, report generation, and alert management.</li> <li>Cloud Experience (AWS or Azure): Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure including deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure.

</li> <li>Strong familiarity with EC2, S3, Lambda functions, Azure functions, networking, and security services.</li> <li>Splunk Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Splunk platform architecture, features, and capabilities.

High-level knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL), dashboards, alerts, and Splunk-specific tools and functionalities.</li> </ul> <p><b>Advantageous Skills Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li>Frontend development experience using JavaScript, CSS, React</li> <li>Advanced Splunk dashboards and alerting capabilities</li> <li>Cribl onboarding and development including volume reduction, enrichment, and data value mining</li> <li>Data analytics expertise</li> <li>Cloud optimization and cost management</li> <li>Container orchestration and microservices architecture</li> <li>Advanced monitoring and observability strategies</li> <li>Security best practices in cloud environments</li> <li>Performance testing tools and methodologies</li> <li>Test automation framework development</li> </ul> <p><b>Role Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain the Observability platform ensuring enterprise-grade quality</li> <li>Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical operational support including standby high-priority support on rotation</li> <li>Develop system solutions aligned with quality standards and delivery requirements</li> <li>Review code of team members ensuring adherence to quality and delivery standards</li> <li>Coach and train fellow colleagues and users on platform capabilities and best practices</li> <li>Compile comprehensive user and operational manuals</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members</li> <li>Ensure software availability, maintainability, and scalability across all environments</li> <li>Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups</li> <li>Handle deployments and releases with zero-downtime strategies</li> <li>Engage in sprint planning and monitoring activities</li> <li>Manage tenant requirements and maintain clear stakeholder communication</li> <li>Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions</li> <li>Optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and reliability</li> <li>Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and platform performance</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration and deployment strategies</li> <li>Maintain compliance with enterprise security and governance standards</li> <li>Document technical specifications and architectural decisions</li> <li>Collaborate effectively with developers, operations teams, and stakeholders</li> <li>Coordinate with external vendors and third-party integration partners</li> <li>Analyze and implement business requirement specifications from DevOps perspective</li> <li>Review system proposals and provide expert technical input and recommendations</li> <li>Develop readable, extendable, reusable, scalable, and efficient automation scripts</li> <li>Ensure seamless handover capabilities with minimal transition requirements</li> <li>Maintain compliance and adherence to standards for audit and quality assurance</li> <li>Update user stories in JIRA and maintain documentation in Confluence</li> <li>Prepare comprehensive system/functional documentation and user manuals</li> <li>Escalate deviations, blockers, and impediments to relevant leadership</li> <li>Additional responsibilities as per AWM Charter or department manager direction</li> </ul> <p>NB:</p> <ul> <li>South African citizens/residents preferred.
