Job description

The primary objective of the National Operations Manager position is to serve as a direct representative responsible for making and implementing sound decisions across all areas of business planning, directing, and coordination.

The role also involves ensuring the achievement of new business objectives and sales targets through personal performance and by driving the sales team.

The National Operations Manager reports directly to the General Manager .

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing sales, operations, financial management, governance, and ensuring strategic objectives and profitability are met across all departments.

  • Asset management and maintenance.

  • Personnel management and related functions.

  • Overall administration of the division.

  • Providing effective leadership to ensure staff function as a committed and effective team aligned with the company's vision, mission, goals, and values.

  • Maintaining a productive, cost-effective, safe, and compliant workplace.

Profile

Key Performance Areas:

The individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty and key performance area, which may evolve based on business needs:

  • Business Reporting: Prepare and present clear, timely reports and proposals for the General Manager; follow up on business concerns and research issues effectively.

  • Sales: Manage all field sales activities across regions and market divisions; conduct field trips, customer contacts, attend conventions and exhibitions to promote products.

  • Financial: Enforce internal financial controls; provide accurate monthly financial reports; ensure financial activities align with company objectives.

  • Branch and Department Functions: Monitor sales targets, stock management, rental financing, parts inventory, service and maintenance profitability, warranty claims, debt collection, and supplier relationships.

  • Customer Service: Ensure high-quality customer interaction and service, attract and secure new business, and develop client partnerships.

  • Operations: Organize branch operations for maximum profitability, develop strategic plans, and implement operational innovations.

  • Human Resources: Manage staff in accordance with company policies; develop and implement HR strategies to grow the branch.
