Job Description

Here is what you will do:

• Design and planning of civil engineering infrastructure such as earthworks/grading, roads, stormwater, sewer and water across various market sectors.
  
  
• The role will entail design development, design review, coordination and management of resources, ad-hoc site supervision, preparation and/or review of typical deliverables e.g. design calculations, reports, drawings, bill of quantities, technical specifications and project documentation.
  
  
• Guides junior engineers/technical resources and largely performs tasks independently to complete design/project deliverables.
  
  
• Mentors junior staff.
  
  
• Will be required to coordinate/manage/lead small to mid-sized teams, across disciplines on a project-by-project basis, including while working on international projects.
  
  
• Supports the execution of projects in accordance with AECOM Quality Management System requirements.
  
  

Here's what we're looking for:

• Solid experience in the design of civil infrastructural elements (earthworks/grading, roads, stormwater, sewer and water), particularly in a multi-disciplinary project delivery environment, across all project stages
• Confident with strong communication skills (written and verbal), including report writing
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Good working knowledge of ProjectWise and BIM360
• Experience in the design and coordination of external wet and dry utilities will be advantangeous.
  
  
• Experience in 12D Model and/or Microstation, is advantageous
• Experience working in other (international) standard specifications and/or design guidelines will be advantageous.
  
  
• Experience in the execution of multi-disciplinary projects through BIM
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment, as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering
• 8 years+ relevant experience post qualification
• Professionally registered with ECSA
