Job Title: Technical Pre-Sales and Trainer
Location: Midrand
Remuneration: Salary package negotiable aligned with experience and industry benchmark

We are now expanding our retail presence and are seeking a strong Technical Pre-Sales and Trainer to join our team in Midrand.

Position Overview
As a Technical Pre-Sales and Trainer, you will be responsible for giving technical expertise, solution design, and sales support for the company networking and CCTV products, including Omada SDN, VIGI CCTV, and Aginet FTTH solutions.

This role will assist with the technical gap between the sales team and customers.

Technical presales will need to make sure the correct specifications are provided to solutions and will provide insight into the products features and functions, as well as host training sessions with Key Personnel.


Qualifications & Required Experience


  • Vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Ubiquiti, Hikvision, and TP-Link Certified).

  • Experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or system integration.

  • Knowledge of GPON/ FTTH technologies.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, ACLs, PoE, Wi-Fi standards, IP addressing, routing, and switching).

  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, video codecs, and storage requirements.

  • Experience with wireless networks, cloud platforms, and remote management tools.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to translate technical language into customer-friendly explanations.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Comfortable working in both team and independent settings.

  • Training abilities and approachable mindset.





Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Technical Support


  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and provide technical solutions.

  • Give product presentations and demonstrations.

  • Assist in preparing technical proposals, network diagrams, and BOMs.

  • Support proof-of-concept projects and pilot installations.


 
Solution Design


  • Design end-to-end networking and surveillance solutions using products.

  • Recommend optimal configurations, firmware, and feature sets to meet client needs.

  • Provide input for large-scale tenders, RFQs, and project bids.


 
Training C Enablement


  • Deliver product and technical training to partners, resellers, and internal staff.

  • Assist in creating and updating technical documentation, datasheets, and user guides.


 
Customer Engagement


  • Attend client meetings with account managers to provide technical consultation.

  • Assist with site surveys, solution sizing, and integration planning.

  • Handle pre-sales technical queries via email, phone, and live demos.


 
Market C Product Knowledge


  • Stay up to date with product updates, competitor offerings, and industry trends.

  • Provide feedback to the product management team on market needs and product gaps.
